General Description:-
This ACSI site was chosen not only for its close proximity to Bilbao (OK we didn’t know at the planning stage that we would finish up with a ferry to Santander 100 km (62 miles) further away) its proximity to the Rioja wine region and cos we’ve not been there before. The site is within walking distance of the town and a number of wineries. Pitches are of a good size, flat and well maintained, in general there is a 6 amp supply offered with the ACSI price but a small supplement will get you a serviced pitch with a 10 amp supply.

The staff are helpful, friendly and those we had contact with spoke good English.

Toilets and Showers:-
Housed in a modern block the facilities are kept clean and although loo paper is provided, soap and towels are not. The facilities are kept clean and well maintained

Laundrette:-
There is a laundrette on site with both washing and drying machines operated by tokens obtainable for €4.00 per token from the reception.

Restaurant:-
There is a site restaurant which in the winter months is open Friday and Saturday evenings only. We did not try it.

Conclusions:-
This is a site we enjoyed visiting and would be happy to come again. Virtually all campers at this time of year (early November) were retired Brits, either just off the boats happy to start their trip to the winter sun or going home happily to prepare for Christmas when they plan to spoil the grandchildren rotten.

It is a site that we would certainly recommend.

Price:-
We stayed 7 nights and paid €19.00 (£16.95) per night for the first 6 with the 7th free making the cost per night just €16.28 (£14.53).
